DoomScroller is a browser extension that tracks scrolling distance on supported social media sites and provides analytics, social features, AI chat/achievements, and battle mini-games.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: email, username, display name, profile avatar.
- Authentication and session data required to keep users signed in.
- Usage/activity data: scrolling distance metrics, site-level breakdown, session timing.
- Social data: friends, friend requests, leaderboard data, battle room participation.
- Chat data: messages sent to AI chat and generated responses.
- Achievement/reward data: achievements, coins, and related gameplay stats.
2. How We Use Data
- Provide core app functionality (tracking, dashboards, social features, and games).
- Personalize AI responses and AI-generated achievements using your own activity data.
- Maintain account security, reliability, and anti-abuse protections.
3. Data Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- We use backend service providers (for example, Supabase and AI providers) to deliver features.
- Leaderboard/profile visibility follows your in-app privacy settings.
4. Storage and Retention
- Some state is stored locally in extension storage for speed and reliability.
- Account/activity/social/chat data is stored in backend systems to support app features.
- You can remove local extension data by uninstalling/resetting the extension.
5. User Controls
- Set profile visibility (world/friends/private options).
- Manage friends and social interactions.
- Sign out at any time from settings.
6. Security
We use authenticated backend access controls and security rules designed to limit data access to authorized users. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
DoomScroller is not intended for children under 13.
